I just got my first saltwater fish( a snowflake eel ) I knew he wouldn't eat right away but tried are there any tips on how to feed him I have tongs and put the krill near him but he just backed away still probly too stressed though as of now I just have frozen krill (from the fish store) and frozen scallops(from hy-vee) he wouldn't touch the krill and they said that's what they feed him

Strips of squid, mussels and silversides via tongs

Initially an eel may need luve food to setlle them in, live ghost shrimp wohld be a good starter. Then various strips if seafood, make them no wider than the width of his eyes and and about 3/4 long. Tongs may be intimidating for small eels and may have to use a clear feeding stick, like an airline tube from the lfs.

Krill should fed very sparingly, if at alll, due to leading to nutritional defencencies, which will lead to death.
