Hi all.

Cleaned my skimmer with citric acid and I’ve had a real issue with micro bubbles for about 5 days now.

Think I need a more long term fix. See the pics.

Since moving to the triton method I need higher flow and that’s causing the bubbles to be sucked through.

Any suggestions welcome. Do you have the water cascading over the bubble trap? Or not?

You will probably find that after 1-2 weeks your skimmer will settle down and stop sending micro bubbles out of the skimmer. Let us know if you are still having issues in a week - good luck!

Thanks!

I will try some patience then.

Would it make a difference if I have the water cascading over the bubble trap or not?

Increase the water volume in the sump to bypass the baffles and build a stand for the skimmer from egg crate if needed. The bubbles will break before getting to the pump. (Basically, you are doing away with the chambers entirely.)

If I raise the water level too much it will overflow if I have a power cut.

I might try some egg crate.
