tips on moving an attached toadstool

Hello All, i have a decent sized toadstool thats firmly attached to my rocks and i want to move it up to higher light and flow. Any ideas on how to detach it safely? I cant move the rocks

Sometimes they can attach to multiple rocks, that are near impossible to move

yeah hate to break it to you but that is not moving... i have a tiny baby leather on a rock i dont want it on, tried super hard to yank it off, (keep in mind this thing is 1/2 an inch) couldnt get it

Last resort, I cut them with a razor blade… instant frag!

Only way would be to cut it as close to the base as you can with a sharp razor. They are hearty. They will survive no prob.

I agree here. If you really want to move it, use a clean razor blade and slice it off at the base. The top will survive and the bottom will grow into a new frag.

If this worries you, try this... slice a small piece of the top of it off and place that somewhere and watch it turn into a small toadstool. When you are satisfied that slicing it in pieces won't kill it ... slice the big piece.

Now, are you sure you can't just grab it and pull it off the rock?
