Tips on restarting a reef tank

Hi all, Due to overwhelming algae issues I have decided to restart my tank does any one have any tips?
Thanks and Happy reefing!!

Scrub the rock, and look into an acid bath for the rock if you're reusing. Slow and steady on stocking, and regulate magnesium first.

And remember a few hours of reading can save you a thousand bucks.

I advise don't restart just fix it

Probably only 1% need resets in our algae threads, the rest/majority can be fixed and sometimes it's the sandbed not even the rocks as causative

Pesky silicate sand is a common culprit.

if it was that bad then at least a good mode to consider for the new tank is vectoring, to start new means nothing new into the new tank unsterilized...fish...are you moving over any fish? known dino vectors. if the curr tank was not savable then the worst nonplanning would be to infect the new one slowly. even the places we source frags from brings it all in again, it seems harmless to at least try a fresh start.

Look at the product Vibrance on the thread up top with us, your tank is a perfect test. they claim to fix literally all those.
