Tips or expierence growing coraline algae

Hi everyone, I’m looking for someone that’s had experience with coraline algae.

I’m wondering if you do have any in your tank how old was your tank when you started seeing some growth ? What were or are your tank parameters? And do you feel like it’s growth has benefited your tank?

I’ve had no luck growing it in my tank personally. I know my phosphates are pretty high which is probably my main concern at the moment. which I am currently working on.

I do have live rock and sand, as well as some hermit crabs and snails that have it on there shells. But no luck actually growing it on my tank.
 
Yes, my tank is covered in it: rocks, rear pane of glass, return outlets, gyres, etc. I started seeing growth within the first 2 months. I try to maintain 35.5ppt salinity, 8.25dKH, 450ppm calcium and 1450ppm magnesium. Yes, for me it's been very beneficial as I have a quoy's parrotfish that thrives on it.
 
Coraline aglae often does not grow substantially until the tank reaches maturity... this is typically 1 year +

All you need is patience.
 
It varies wildly depending on lots of factors in my experence. I have setup tanks that took 3-6 months for growth to start. My most recent tank is in it's 4th week and I noticed coraline growth on a return line yesterday.
