Tips to get my next Red Cap Monti to scroll?

I just assumed that's what it was. It was an unlabeled frag I picked up at the lfs. Tomorrow getting a purple cap, funny you should mention it.

I guess is it’s a encrusting montipora. Still a keeper.
Encrusting montipora can turn old boring rock into something nice.
I want to do a life sized skull with some sort of montipora. But the wife is creeped out on it . Bummer

I have two soon to be three cyphastrea buddhas. I really like them though I'm not big into doodads in the tank. What next? A pirates chest?

M. hodgsoni will plate out a little bit eventually depending on flow and lighting, it just doesn't "whirle" and plate out as readily as M. capricornis does



I have been wanting a gargoyle statue of cyphastrea for quite sometime myself personally.

I think how it plates out has something to do with direction of flow as well.
