I’ve been thinking about getting into sps and I’m new to the hobby does anyone have any tips for me

Being that you are new, i would recommend giving at least 6 months time, get all the appropriate testing equipment and chemicals to adjust levels, get comfortable using them, develop a solid routine for maintaining the tank, and try a cheap acro once you start seeing coraline algae on your glass.

Patience and stability will be your 2 best friends. Do not rush into getting acros, you will be disappointed. When you feel you have a hang of keeping your Alk, Ca. Mg, No3 and Po4 stable look into getting a "starter acro" like a Green Birdsnest or a Montipora Digitata of any color.
