Got this bubble coral about five days ago, from a trusted local vendor.
Tank is newish. Coralline is starting to grow. I have some easy SPS doing okay. I will post all the parameters shortly. I’m due to test.
Anyway, a very tiny piece of vertical skeleton, septa I think it’s called, broke off while I was gently turkey basting during the initial dip. It looked like a tiny new growth on the side, and it came loose so easy that I didn’t really think anything of it.
Fast forward five days, and it seems that the tiny piece that broke off was attached to a bubble or something. And it still hasn’t fully inflated, even in low light and flow.
How should I handle this? Slice off that hanging piece, followed by an iodine dip? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
FishBum00
