Tissue recession or discoloration on Mille?

My pink Millie has had a few white patches show up, didn't get any worse.. Looked like it was getting better... And now doesn't look much better or worse??
I'm at a loss here...
What is goin on with my Mille?

Did water param tests when I first noticed the discoloration.
Salinity: 1.025
Ph: 8.3
No3: 0
Cal: 440
Alk: 10
Po3: <.25 (API kit; not at 0 but not fully .25 coloration)
Temp: 77.9

Then did our regular water change yesterday and added Fuel..

you just recently get this? most likely it came from a giant colony that was not tank raised and went through a lot of stress in shipping then hacked up by a seller to you. if your other sps are doing well its not your fault, its just the game with new corals

We have had this piece for 2 months now.. I know the par probably isn't super strong where it got glued on the rocks at... But with the tissue recession I didn't know if I should just leave it and see what happens, or if it needs to be moved.

Keep things stable and get your phosphates down are the two things I would try. Also a little lower alk couldn't hurt either. Low nitrates tanks can experience tip burn at higher alk and 10 is a little on the high side. I wouldn't move the frag for a while, but as has been mentioned some of those wild frags go down hill after a few months as it takes some time for the stress to catch up with them.

you might want to check your numbers against a different brand test kit as well. just to cover all basis

That is tissue loss, doesn't look like burnt tips though...looks like possible nipping or damage that is spreading. What fish are in there with it? Millis like a lot of light btw.

We have a clownfish, royal gramma, and a six line. None have been messing with it, but I am a little curious of our peppermint shrimp. We recently lost a strawberry shortcake frag and a pretty blue acro frag to RTN. But each piece was lost within a couple hours a few days apart.

How old is the tank? Whats the water volume? Skimmer? What are you dosing? How are you dosing? What type of filtration?

No one on any website can offer any real answers without knowing all this (and more) info on the tank. The variables are just too great.

We have a 29gal BioCube HQI, its a little over a year old.
Stock BioCube skimmer.
we dose Aquavirto Fuel (5mL) twice a week with a dropper over the filter chamber in the back, and if needed we have a liquid calcium that I will put 5 drops in the back to raise our calcium level, and reef builder buffer for ph.. Neither of the last two have been used in about a month.
We use the carbon filter cartridges for our tank.
And use the Aquavirto salinity salt to mix our own water (with rodi water from our LFS).
We have a 150w 14k Metal halide, (ushio bulb new in march) that runs 11:30am - 5pm
And a panorama pro blue led strip that runs from 9:30 am - 9:30pm

I do 2 gal water changes once a week.
Change our filters weekly (lately) sometimes only twice a month.
Air stone in our skimmer gets changed out monthly.
We have been having an aiptasia out break the past month or so.

Looks like STN.....skin is melting off. All your params look good to me. I would get a better skimmer, up your water changes to 5 gallons weekly, and change your filters weekly as well. SPS like cleaner water...with a bit lower ALK.

What kind of flow do you have in the tank? I don't believe it has anything to due with being a frag of a wild colony and definitely has to due with your tank conditions. I agree a better skimmer and larger water changes would help and I would throw some chaeto in the back chamber too. I just down sized from a 75 to a 34 solana and my sps aren't doing as well as they were in the 75. I have a sunset Mille that looks similar and I believe it has to due with PO4 and flow. I'm finding it much more dificult to keep the 34 than it was to keep the 75. I have an mp10 on there and I'm thinking I might try my mp40 since there still doesn't seem to be enough flow. It looks like I might be getting things back on track and that's only after throwing my gfo reactor on there in addition to my aquamaxx skimmer, chaeto, and 5gal weekly water changes.

I will be upping our water changes. And I will try the filter replacements weekly again instead of about every 10 days. I have been waiting til the current one looks like it needs swapped instead of changing out a half white (new) one..

I personally like the Bayer Insecticide dip(I use 1mL - 1L of tank water for about 10 mins). Also like to use TLF ReVive.

I would do at least 5 gallon WC once a week and ditch the lettuce and go with chaeto and run the fuge lights 24/7. If you can run gfo I would do that too. Make only one change at a time so you can see the changes if any from that one change. Once the frag starts to recover you should put it in a place of direct flow of you power head. I have to say you really aren't set up for sps and you shouldn't attempt until you are ready. Put the money into equipment and not corals, in the long run you'll be happy you did. I don't think you have AEFW since I can't see any bite marks but anything is possible. Also dipping alone will not save you from pests because dips don't kill eggs. The only way to be 100% sure is to quarantine. Good luck.

We will be looking into cheato, we currently run our light in the fuge chamber from 9pm - 9am. I trim it back a couple times a month as it grows quickly.

We have been having good success with SPS.. Out of the 9 we have had we still have 6 in great condition (even seeing good growth). We lost two sensitive sps frags (strawberry shortcake and a pretty blue one that I wasn't able to ID) to RTN, but I felt like they were high risk anyway. As they were cut from the mother colony, put on plugs, shipped to our LFS the next morning, they were in the tank there for an hour and a half, then we picked them up and brought them home.. Lots of traveling and stress for those two sensitive frags..
The pink millepora isn't in the best location, the PAR is a little low for sps and the flow isn't the greatest either...
I appreciate everyone's input and will be looking at starting to change a few things.

I dont think your ALK is out of line, I keep mine around 10 and have better growth than I did at 8. Like others have said I would up the water changes and buy a better skimmer.
