A few weeks ago someone posted a supplier for titanium hose clamps. I have not had a lot of luck finding a 2- 2/1/2 inch clamp with no min order or $30 shipping. Anyone know of a scource ?

I have seen a vendor in the UK; although that would be somewhat inconvenient to you! :)

Out of curiosity; why titanium? Won't the standard plastic ones for aquarium use do the job? I get the fancy material- but apart from the theoretical added strength are you looking for anything I might have overlooked?

titanium hose clamps
Quick google several sources came up,

Curious mind here would like to know what is your application that is requiring these clamps over heavy duty zip ties?

I use SS t-clamps where I splice in a flex line right before the pump. Lines are under a couple psi of pressure and I have urchins in the sump.

I did, they require UPS shipping and that's $30 for one clamp....
Seems a reasonable price to pay for something this specialized :p

I used the ratcheting plastic ones Waterbox included and the hose popped off.

There are other, much cheaper shipping options. Almost $30 to ship a $8.00 part is a little steep. I thought there might be a supplier who uses USPS.

Best of luck finding some; I hope it works out for you! :)

If you want to avoid your hose popping off, I can recommend looking in to hard plumbing if it's an option for you. If not, heavy duty plastic zip ties have worked well for me in the past.

Please share here in this thread for future reference if you find any! :-)

I am going to try 216 stainless from Amazon for $8.00 :) Worst case I dose a little iron.

Unless you plan to submerge the hose clamp, why bother with TI?

I have some, they are not really worth it. My regular home depot turds rust out over about 3-4 years and need to be replaced here and there but they dont break, and thats while getting salt spray 24/7. At that rate it would take 30 years to see a return on investment of a TI hose clamp.

They will be submerged.

Not just iron unfortunately. Stainless is a compound of iron, chromium and nickel. Substances such as molbyden, nitrogen and copper may also occur occasionally. Standard stainless holds around 18% chromium and 8% nickel

See here

I use Nylon Snap Grip Hose Clamp of good quality - like these
