Hey everyone! So I finally upgraded my main tank and decided to showcase it.

Here is my Cadlights 165g with custom sump.

So first things first, with my wife’s sensitivity to lights and migraines I knew I was going to need a canopy and after doing a bit of research decided to make one!

It’s pretty simple but i think I did an ok job. I Just new I wanted it to be open top to allow maximum heat dissipation from the lights. Once done I went to painting it, but figured while I was at it I would also paint the brown side cabinet to match.

For lighting I went with a 60” Aquatic life T5 hybrid light fixture and currently using my old AI 52 Hydras ( thinking of upgrading to the newer 64hd or maybe the smaller 32HD spaced properly for a better spread.)

I used the cabinet to store my calcium reactor, there’s still a pump controller in there that I need to route to the control board but I’m just waiting on an extension cable to come.

I wired the control area with my apex unit behind this front board but I’m going to redo this area so this is very temporary

UPDATE! I modified my control panel and made it a bit nicer to look at.
