Hi all,

I bought a TLF from my LFS a while ago and just went to set it up today. What I found is that the sponges included with the reactor have too large of holes and the ROX .8 carbon falls right through it.

Has anyone found any alternative way to use this reactor for ROX carbon?

My phosphates are already super low, so I don't want to run GFO with it.

Thanks

Try and hunt down some sponges with smaller holes and maybe turning down the flow. I use the brs reactor and the sponges they sell hold rox just fine

Or get some Sera or Ehiem wool backing (poly) and place the ROX in between it, thats is the way you are suppose to use RowaPhos and GFO.
