I unfortunately had a bad experience with this company. I am a local to them, well an hour away. Purchased 5 Anthias, got a free 6th one. Lost all within a week. Many back and forths with this company trying to find a reason they failed or what I did wrong. Fortunately I answered all their questions and even provided screenshots of my apex that they wanted; again, trying to find something wrong with my setup.

The last straw was, when I stated, and I’ll summarize, “I have never lost fish like this in the 12+yrs in this hobby”, their response, “lol”.

Their only request was to spend another $50 with them to do an ICP test. After losing $250+ worth of fish, I decided enough was enough. Unfortunately that disqualified me for any compensation via their policy.

Frankly I have the whole conversation, you would clearly see they were digging and digging and digging for a reason to prove me wrong...the conversation ended when I sent pictures of the dead fish...they never responded, but you can clearly see they read the message.

I will unfortunately be finding a new LFS.

You know sir we have copies of the conversation as well, and since you wan to lie, I'll first start by breaking down your current post.

"all the irregularities on the forums and inconsistencies from testing. I shy away from that stuff," You're 12 years in the hobby, and shy away from a $50 test? How does that make sense.
"until my sps take a dive I never thought about" - Better to PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE
"Again, I was merely looking for food recommendations" - Ok so there was no problems

We feel sorry for your loss, but frankly more for the fish. They were shipped to you alive, and arrived alive.
They only died after being in your aquarium unfortunately. You were also given replacements and you killed those too.

what am I lying about? I answered and provided everything you wanted,EXCEPT more money. I NEVER once asked for anything but a food recommendation. Also, kinda fishy saying you shipped them to me, but yet my wife picked them up IN STORE.

You had me run tests, provide them, show screens shots of my setups, everything. Why would I lie?

Yes your wife came in correct. Thanks for reminding us. Now I remember we even gave her a freebie.

We seriously do hope you the best and any store you shop from. Best, Triton Marine Aquaculture.

You were also given replacements and you killed those too.

When did this happen?

...this should be good.

If this is 100% what you say happened, that you provided replacements that I killed too. Then I will be in contact.

I was going by memory. It is possible I was recalling a different order issue. I believe your first pick up attempt was an issue. It's been a long time since this order passed. I do recall your order created a lot of problems.

Please find a better local store to support your needs.

Yep, first order placed. Wife drove 1hr there to find out order couldn’t be fulfilled due to floor surfing fish, turned around, drove an hour home. Not your fault, but, order was cancelled, refunded, and place at a later date when it could be fulfilled, which was a week or so later. Definitely HUGE problems...

We can tell by responses, info trying to be collected, etc, how arrogant you’ve become. You’ve picked apart my responses, with your own narrating of how it should have been, see above. I appreciated the opportunity to support a LFS, but arrogance and cocky ness is truly showing. This all started by fish not eating, and me looking for food recommendations, not anything else, which turned into days of my sending info, screenshots, etc. Everything was given to you except more money, and now you’re upset I left a review. Then, you leave messages, etc, on here slandering me, for getting replacements and killing them too, which is 100% not true.

So, before you try to call someone out, get the right person first...

6 fish for your shop all died, but yet multiple tangs, mandarin, 10yr old clowns, etc, all fine. All corals, everything from softies to sps, all doing fine. Have even been selling frags at local swaps for years.

it’s odd, very odd

Sir what's odd is your continuing online harassment of our business. It really sounds like you are purposely looking to tarnish our business. What might be best is to continue searching for a store that can adequately serve your needs. We're in business AND growing for a reason. Have a nice day and we hope you the best in your search for an LFS that can suit your needs. I will repeat you have been a VERY difficult customer to help and one we truly wish we never dealt with. Fair warning to any store that deals with you and reads this. I'm pretty sure NO store will want to take a chance with you now.

Continuing? So I’m now not allowed to post a review of my experiences in a thread I started? I don’t care about you growing, good for you in this time period, but that doesn’t solve a customers issue that you seem to care nothing about.

I still have never asked for a refund for those lost fish! So why are you being and getting so defensive? You laugh at customers issues, see above, you poke fun that we don’t follow your personal routines, and you keep trying to stop me from posting on my thread.

How am I being difficult? We purchased fish, order#1 couldn’t be fulfilled because your fish died before my wife arrived. I got a refund. I waited until you got more in stock. Picked them up. They wouldn’t eat, so I inquired about food. It got turned into proving me wrong and you right, which again never was my intention according to our conversations, see above.

I appreciate you warning people for me caring about my new fish not eating from day one. Cause that matters. What really matters here is the bad experience and the way a vendor/sponsor is treating their customers. Me buying fish will not ruin my livelihood, but you berating customers will surely hurt yours.

Nope, not the first, just my first bad experience when a problem arose. And trust me, no warranty was given since I didn’t purchase another $50 test
Ok so maybe the way they handled it wasn’t 100% correct, I’d defiantly give you that. That being said look at it from the businesses point of view for a minute.

1. Most fish stores dont even entertain the idea of helping you at all if your fish die. It’s just to bad so sad buy more and better luck next time.

2. Anthias are not considered easy to keep, often times they don‘t accept any type of frozen or dried food and have to be slowly moved onto it from live food. They also have to be feed at least twice a day three times preferably.

3. Those fish were probably what 25-30 each? I dont really remember the last time I had bought them. So just to keep the math easy lets call it $125, and the last one was free, otherwise it would be $150. They need to prove that no type of toxin was in the water that might have killed them otherwise they are out the $150 for giving you new fish and what happens if they die again?

Fish stores tend to have a lot of overhead, electricity probably being the largest then water, and its almost like they wanted to meet you half way. By you doing the water test they wanted you to do, yes I understand you had to pay for it as well, you are not only ensuring that nothing is wrong with your tank and don't loose anything else that you already own to it, but you’re ensuring the survival of the next batch of fish that you would be given. They already have to come in every day and pull out the DOA fish that seemed fine the night before when they left the store.

What would be really nice now is if both them and you could kind of burry the hatchet. So if they would let you still do the water test and show that hopefully nothing was wrong, then on their next order get you your new fish and maybe they would give you a small jar of brine shrimp eggs, they aren’t expensive, so you have live food you can hatch easily or tigger pods and as kind of a gesture of good faith, and to also know that you have food that they are proven to eat. Really think about that too if you cant get them onto dry or frozen food by then you'll be buying that food from them for a while till you can.

I think the only thing you both could do here is something along those lines and just admit hey you were both kind of in the wrong, them for the way they responded it maybe came off looking even more wrong because it wasn’t in person or on the phone you cant show emotion though text, and you for trying to tarnish their name online you honestly did kind of drag it on a little. Then maybe just maybe if you ask an admin if they would delete the thread? It honestly only looks like its been you, them and me that’s even looked at this. That’s up to you just think if it was your business. Often times people that dont get along are the most alike and you just kind of have to put stuff aside for a minute to see it.

I wish their prices were that cheap. $40+/each. And again, I was merely asking for food recommendations since they had them almost 11days, but never ate once for me. I think my message was day 2 of not eating. So I was inquiring before it got worse. That’s how it all started. If they had them that long, why would they not eat for me? They were introduced into a segregated tank by themselves to reduce stress.

I guess fortunately for me whatever “toxin” is in my water, hasn’t killed anything but these new fish. None of my tangs, mandarins, clowns, multiple inverts, and sensitive sps. I guess the other fish from them that are going on 3yrs old are immune.

To say I drug it on is a bit confusing, I’ve only responded when their words aren’t so nice, or 100% a lie.

We don't offer a guarantee on marine life. Most stores do not. @DaneGer21 thanks again for your feedback.

Yep only on shipping orders. As to why I never once asked for anything except food recommendations. But yet was picked apart.

Again, your arrogance is showing, now leaving “laughing” emoji’s and “money” emojis on my past comments. You just don’t stop do you?

For being local, I may just pop in tomorrow on my day off.

...and just to be clear again, and again, NEVER once to this very second have I asked for any compensation, period.
