Hi all. Running the tmc reef skim nano 50 on my 60 litre.

I am noticing the small micro bubble falling out the bottom of the skimmer and then being sucked up by my return pump into the aquarium making it look very misty/cloudy.

Any tips or advice welcome pls

This can be an issue with many types of nanos. I do not know yours exactly, but you need to break the bubbles up prior to entering the main area. Try sponge, rock, etc. Rock would be my preference. Try dialing the skimmer in a bit better too.

I have a sponge in the bottom of it.

I have had to turn the pump right down.

This is what i have currently

So the microbubbles get into the chamber with the return pump. You can try a sponge on the return pump itself. May help too. Just need to find a way to block the bubbles. I had one ps that just shot out microbubbles on my 6g and drove me nuts. Somehow, it stopped one day. Then began again. Never figured out what stopped it. I ended up switching filters, but this was not a permanent tank.

Turning the pump right down has stopped the micro bubbles from appearing. I am u sure if the amount of bubbles in the chamber/neck is enough now though

Yeah, unfortunately that will keep the unit from working properly. Dial it up very gradually and see how it goes.

I have managed to get to it half power which tmc actually advised me to do. I am waiting now
