Well not a big update but, the tank is still cycling and I think I'm at the final stages of the cycle Ammonia is at 0ppm , Nitrite is at about 0.25 ppm ( hasn't changed since I added the Biospira),Nitrate is 0-5 ppm.

Question... I'm going to transfer all of my livestock over after the tank is cycled i have a LTA can i add it along with everything else or do I have to wait? Thanks

What is a LTA?

I would say that you are good adding everything. watch for stress and dose a multi vitamin for the stress;)

Small update today my Ammonia is still at 0.25 ppm which makes me think its giving me a false positive reading. I only think this because my nitrates have risen to 20 ppm. The tank has been up and running a little over a month and I'm dosing stability daily. Any suggestions? thanks

It has been a minute since I have updated this build thread, and man has this tank been through A LOT. From accidentally cracking the bottom front corner while moving some furniture, to replacing almost all of the rock, sand, and water, during a reset due to sky high nutrients. There have been many times I have wanted to shut it down completely but instead thankfully I decided to stick it out and I am happy that I did. It looks like things are starting to look up for this tank.

I bought a few tester corals from @AquaSD and too my surprise they seem to be doing great!

The new additions include:

2x Hammer Corals
1x Highlighter Torch Coral
1 x Teal Candy Cane
4-5 Firework Clove Polyps

I’m gonna let these hang out for a bit then get some more.

Very nice looking toadstool!

End of August '24 Update:

I finally got some more corals added to this tank! I placed a couple of orders with AquaSD and was mostly happy with both of my orders.

The 1st order consisted of:

Softies:
Firework clove polyps

LPS:
Toxic Green Hammer - 1 Head
Light Green Hammer Coral - 1 Head
Flashlight Torch Coral - 1 Head
Teal Candy Cane Coral- 1 Head

This was the test batch, and for about a month everything was going great after years of not being able to add any thing out fear of it perishing, or so I thought......

I had placed another order with Aqua SD and the day before it was scheduled to arrive, I looked in the tank to see that someone had gone after one of the hammers, and It had flesh hanging off the side of it :downcast-face-with-sweat:.

The Culprit?
Unknown at this point, but If I had to put money on it I would say the Coral Beauty.

Needless to say it will be coming out as soon as I can trap it.
