How many inches of fish can I safely keep in a 240g?

I'm really terrible at math, (had to repeat it 4x in high school) but I'm looking for inches. I have my fish list ready and I want to make sure I don't go over the size limit when they're fully grown. Gotta do this right. Thanks!
 
It's not really the "math" of its really down to the type of fish you keep for instance if you have a 100 gallon cube the 2.5 to 3 feet long you shouldn't get a tang but if it was a 100 gallon that 4-5 feet long then a tang would be great in if

+1 This is the biggest thing. In reality if you went with more peaceful species you could hold quit a few.
 
Inches of fish per gallon is archaic. Too many variables for it to be relevant.
 
Ok so here's my list. Let me know if this is too much.

Peaceful: Eleven fish 3-4"
Peaceful: Two 7"
Peaceful: One 11"
Semi-Aggressive: Two 3-4"

So that gives me a total of 16 fish with mostly small peaceful and two small semi-aggressive and one large peaceful. Three of which are somewhat territorial. There's many hiding places. Putting the peaceful, non-territorial fishes in first will help keep any aggression down.
