Hi Guys, have been thinking about amino acids or general coral additives, such as Red sea energy plus (A+B)
I do not like spending money on snake oil so I guess this is my research. I have only found anecdotal stuff on the subject with some saying it is a waste of money. But have not found many saying it makes a real difference, just maybe it helps with not much committal. I do use reef roids sparingly.
Any thought on if I should inves or not?

Thanks

I use those aminos with no ill effect unless I overdose it then algae takes off but I’ve narrowed it down and now have no issues. It seems to help but definitely doesn’t hurt. I have a heavily stocked mixed reef with lots of corals and fish and don’t do water changes so I add other things like the Red Sea ABCD elements. Here’s a pic of my cluster ****.

Thanks HB AL for the response. What I have found from asking quite a few now including my LFS and nobody says its fantyastic stuff (whatever additive) and all some can say is it does cause algae sometimes. I am thinking I wont invest.

Ya i get it, you could always try it down the road. Why not call a few of the big coral shops and ask them if they use aminos, if they do then you have a definitive answer.

I tried amino's once and got a dino/cyano carnival. Be aware
