Hi all,

I am in the process of upgrading my Reefer 250 to a 350. 250 is still running, 350 is running with freshly made water and live sand for one week now. I want to exchange water from one tank to another to match the levels as close as possible.

I wanted to make sure I had no ammonia coming from adding the live sand so I bought a test to be sure.

Pic 1 is my Reefer 250 results. Pic 2 is the water from the 350. I have a hard time deciding what is says and to see a difference between the two....

Can I have your opinions?

I wouldn’t worry. I’ve safely done tank swaps like that several times with zero problems.

Consider switching to the Red Sea ammonia test.
It is accurate and very clearly shows a difference between 0 ammonia and a small amount of ammonia.
