So, starting process of setting up new tank. Going to use rubbermaid stock tank as sump. I used this same stock tank to house all fish/rock/etc when I moved this Summer, but it has been dry for 6 months now. There are some pests that I do not want to take to the new tank, so should I use a light bleach solution to rinse the tank out for a couple days to make sure there is nothing dormant? Or am I overthinking it? Mainly worried about these tiny blue clove polyps which are taking over everything. I am bleaching all my rock as I take it out now for the new tank. I plan on cycling the bleached rock for a month or so, add Dr Tim's, then add all livestock to the stock tank while I get ready for the new tank to arrive.
