Okay so diatom bloom is in full effect in my new tank. My question is do I clean the tank or do I just let it happen?

I'm still doing weekly water changes and my parameters seem to be good and stable. I just hate starring at the orange sand and rocks. Mostly just want to clean the sand as the rocks are so covered at the point I think the only way to clean them is to completely remove them.

Thanks in advance!

I am within my first two years of salt tanks so I’m no expert, but I’d let it ride. Do you have cuc yet? Snails and such will help out.

You may run this cleaning at any time

Yes have 4 snails total in the tank currently. Didn't want to overload it in the beginning as there isn't really much algae.

Diatoms will go away on thread own. Some CUC will eat or at least stir them up.

Don't bother doing anything drastic. If you want, add a conch and some copepods. Assuming you use 0 tds rodi water (or distilled), it will clear up eventually. No need to disturb the microbial life growing in the sand via a drastic cleaning

Yeah I use RODI water. Was thinking about adding some copepods after watching the recent brstv series. Just really don't know much about them and mentioning them in your system.
