I wanted to start a thread to get everyone's feedback on how they do or don't dose their systems. I know many people keep their elements up by water changes and some dose their tanks to keep up with elements. Which are you? How do you dose? What type of system do you have? Food for thought....

I use a 4 pot doser, dosing calc, alk and mag, all FM balling lite. I dose as the tank demands (can change month on month) , but test every 2 weeks and adjust to suit. As for water changes, sometimes every 2 weeks, but again test dependant.

I run brs dosers, if I didn't I'd probably shut down my reef. I run ca, alk, and nopox. Once dialed in I just occasional test and adjust as necessary, manual dosing is a pita. The nopox keeps my no3 and no4 at a minimum and I can do a water change about every 3-4 weeks to keep up on the minor elements. I usually have to test and bump up my mg about once a month.
