I have the opportunity of getting a dwarf golden moray eel for $150, worth it or not? Would be the sole inhabitant of the bio cube.

They’re cool, I have on in my 600. Coral safe but will eat any fish it can fit in it’s mouth. Hasn’t bothered any of my shrimp or crabs including 2 fire shrimp, 2 skunk, 1 banded coral, 1 porcelain crab and several acro crabs.

Yes!!! Especially if you don't plan on adding other fish? What's the downside? Seal the tank well and don't forget to post pics! :D

Wow!!! Amazing looking. I’m in the market for one just like it
Right he’s one of the more golden in color ones that I’ve ever seen. He’s definitely one of my favorite purchases.

They sure are cool. I have two in my 450. They share a hole and it is fun to watch them interact. But they are pigs!
Are yours this color as well. A lot of the photos I’ve seen have them more skin color than this golden yellow.

Beautiful fish. For what it's worth, that may not be a "Dwarf" Golden Moray. From what I remember from my days working at an importer/wholesaler, Golden Morays were brighter yellow like yours and grew to about 3 feet long. The Dwarfs were always paler in color with a bright blue eye and only grew to about 12" long. Either way it looks like a healthy fish and hope you enjoy it for many years.

I was a little confused by the color as well but that would make sense. Thanks for the input!

Anyone know if he could be a canary eel/banana eel. He’s really more so that coloration than anything else.
