That Is my question. I recently picked up my first Zoa (Gorilla Nip) and I have been hearing a mix of info on feeding. they guy I got them from says he would give them the Mysis juice 2-3 times a day. but I also have read that never feeding has worked for people. so I'm kinda lost I have been staying on the last guys regiment just so I don't shock the corals, but I'm afraid to hurt them with the blast of nutrient and solid mix. what's your thoughts I have seen people also use Reefroids??

I spot feed all my corals, including zoas. They goobble up the food, I just make sure to not blast them, that's the tricky part. However, they will pick up food from the water column, so it's not a requirement by any-means, more personal preference.
I use Julian's thing, it's a nice tool to have for many reasons, it's just really good for spot feeding or a turkey baster and a gentle hand. A gentle hand, I do not have, that's why I got Julian's thing. haha

I've heard of reefroids, but never used them. I use reef chili, which I believe is similar product.

yeah I have been using a 5ml Dropper Bc its only a 6 Head Frag. but I will have to look in to the "Julian's thing"

I also use a Julian's thing and feed my sps Rod's coral food about once a week. I think a lot of factors come into play. How many fish, how much you feed, your parameters, nutrient export abilities, etc are all factors of if you should feed. I have big fish that I feed a lot. I also have a big skimmer and run biopellets. My tank can handle it.

Yes, don't forget about the fact that you're adding a concentrated dose of food to your tank. So every tank is going to be different, I spot feed about twice a week. Nutrient export abilities is the key here, like sawd said, he has his under control with a big skimmer and biopellets. I have a decent skimmer and a water change schedule I use. I also will run GFO from time to time as well.

YMMV but just watch the tank and see what happens, start slow with spot feeding and see how it goes!

kewl thanks for the Feed back. yeah I have small Fish (2) and I only feed about 20-30 Mysis shrimp per day one cube will last me like 5-7 days. lol
