To get a BTA or not get one that is the question.

I am thinking of geting a Green BTA or a rose. is there anything I should do. Should I even get one? I have a 14g biocube been setup for over a year and a 1/2

Is there a reason you ask why you shouldn't?

14 gals sounds small, but I've seen BTAs in 12 gals before under MH lighting. It was the only thing in the tank tho due to its size.

I would say go for it, just keep up on your changes. What else is in the tank?

Your good then the damsels might have a problem but the clown will love it, and hopefully the clown will host.

I would NOT get it, and I'll tell you why. We had one a year ago, and now have seven in our 90g under DIY LED's. An anemone has the potential to put out as much waste as 4 medium fish, as they tend to "go" in a massive ooze. They also move about wherever they darn well please. Your lighting may be fine, but your consistency of water quality and being in there with the LPS's spells trouble in that small of a tank. You also should have good circulation. If you had this mix in a 28g cube I'd have a better feeling. They are beautiful, we have the RBTA and a strain of rainbow BTA. Our clowns spawn every week. You can try it, but I'm afraid it will end badly. My opinion.

Did it about 12 years ago -- had already been keeping E. quadricolors for several years prior to that. To be frank, is sucked. Water quality was always a challenge (( like was mentioned, they put out a shockingly large amount of waste )), and they just get too big. Lucky for me I had other tanks to move them back into. I have 2 in my 40 breeder, and honestly I wouldn't go any smaller than that; BTW, had one that was over 15 inches across before I sold it.
