have 2 radion xr30 gen 4 over reefer 350. right now lights are on rms mounts but looking at wwc and other facilities they all have them hanging higher. the radions have plenty of power to light this tank even at 15 inchs up. pros would be more even par spread cons hanging them lol. any thoughts on this or suggestions would be great thanks

You can fill the shape of the tank like this

Or like this

With the second one , you have more overlap of the beams.

In larger aquaculture tanks and frag tanks setting multiples higher up allows light to come in form more diffent angles and stops shading.
In more Standard size Home tanks it’s a bit more complicated.

Those with them up really high also usually have all channels on 100% and they live with the color that this makes. Some have some T5s too for various reasons. Some vendors also will run their lights for 12+ hours with their retail schedules. It can work. The only question is whether it can work for you since you have different goals and parameters than a retail shop.
