My 140 gal tall mixed reef has the center glass piece that was to support glass covers/lids but I do not use them. The bottom of the glass is getting frosty/etched from to water and I can not find info on how to clean it to get it clear. I just started sps this year. So I was wondering if any of you have removed the glass and if there would be any problems in doing so? Seems that it would be better for light penetration.

If your tank is deep and the glass is not really thick I would leave the glass alone. scrub it with a scotch brite pad and be very careful with any kind of Mr clean around the tank and your water. I do not even like putting a new scotch brite pad in my tank yet alone any kind of solvents any where near my tank. Their is a glass cleaner that will remove the white grime that has built up. Go to a glass shop and see what they have to offer. You need to maximize on light with your coral so yes it does need to be cleaned. It removes up to 25 % for every layer or something ridiculous. If it is fastened or glued into place then leave it. It is support . But if it is only a lid of some kind take it off for sure

Leave it, its needed to support the tank and keep it from bowing out too far and breaking. Mr Clean "Original" magic eraser is chemical free and completely reef safe.

white vinegar is good at removing deposits Mr Clean original is fantastic and safe to use combine the 2 and you should be able to get most of the junk off vinegar is used in the aquarium for vodka/vinegar dosing so if a little gets in shouldn't be a problem

Magic erasers, vinegar, acid, razors etc. won't clean that if it's etched. I just went through this on a tank I bought that was etched on the sides. Even Cerium Oxide wouldn't remove it without a ton of work.
