To keep the Asteria stars or not?

So I have these little guys in my 12 gal display they have been there for around 8 months now and are really booming I see them eating algae or more probably bacterial skim off the glass
No coral have had any issues I don’t mind them would any one suggest keeping them? And putting them in my new 170?

I don't mind them. I think it is a personal choice but know that they might go after coral. But you will have to cull the herd so to speak now and then. I have only seen one in my current tank but my last tank had them by the hundreds. I would remove about 50 or so a week.

In a well fed tank they can multiply fast. About the time I realized I had too many, they started irritating zoas. The expensive ones especially. I must have tweezed 500 out of a 120G display over a few weeks. And I continue to remove a few dozen every couple of weeks.

Suffice to say I am no longer a fan of asterina stars.

Not one is welcomed in my tank. I don't trust them., had them take down zoa and where there's one, there is more

I see them, I take them out and crush them!
