I will never go back to what I had. I enjoyed a lot of it and I'm glad I did it, but my life is much more 'healthy" now.

That's awesome! I have 3 right now, but one has to be torn down per the landlord 
60G cube will stay and my Wifes 20G long freshwater gets to stay. Once we purchase a home though......then the games begin

I enjoyed them during the time that I had them but I got wore out and much nicer with 1 nice reef tank now.

As long as you have the time and money to take care of them with the same dedication that you would use for one and don't neglect other obligations or family in the process, I don't really think there is a set number that is or is not reasonable

Having said that, I think my nano cube, future predator tank, betta tank, and *maybe* a seahorse or jellyfish tank is my limit. I genuinely have recurring dreams about forgetting to feed fish and forgetting what tanks I have. :/

At 1 point I had 4 tanks, I had no room for the last one so I kept it in my tiny guest rest room. Worse, it was right next to the john.....LOL after a few months I had to get rid if it because it was ridiculous!

I've never had this many this size.
120,125,150,40,40,20,29,29,6,55 I think was where it was. That's 10.
This would be 120,240,40,20,6,90,90. Also a 150 sitting in the wings for cold water. Averages out pretty close in gallons.

I snuck a 10 gallon in once for QT. I put it in my bathroom and the wife didn't even know about it. Wasn't till family came over for dinner one day
