Is there such a thing ? Im redoing my 75 gallon tank. let it go for way to long. has 2 korialla wave pumps moving water. THere the big ones. Now the corals are whiping around. some are staying compacted more now and arnt as inflated. Should i down grade to a smaller set of pumps ? or just let it be for a day or 2?

there on oppisite ends of the tank slighty off set from one another. I was hoping to have them clash in the middle. But on the bottom of the tank it seems there might be to much flow....

Adjust them so they point to the surface of the water. It can help with the gas exchange. From what it sound like, you have too much flow directing towards your corals.

Depends on what yoiu mean by the big ones. I've got 3200gph blowing directly at a Toadstool and he's got no problems opeing up. they should be at the sides of the tank, pointed slightly up as stated above, better gas exchange.
Also, what types of corals are we talking about that won't open up? Could be other issues.

I have mine pointing in all different directions but non of them are directed at the corals. Some like it some don't. You just have to experiment and adjust to what best suits them guys.

There pointed up a lil bit Ill post a quick pic or vid in a sec. I just removed a tone of hair algae also so there might be some correlation between the 2.

I think the green leather is looking better now it just has to get used to the fact that theres flow in the tank now. And forgive the hair algae. The tank was let go for way to long. Almost broke it down. But i decided to keep it. Our tank used to have quite a few colonies of sps at one time. Now its just a shadow of its old self but im determined to have it make a come back!

Looks okay to me. You might want to check out carbon dosing. Go to Redsea .com and watch their videos. I have been using their stuff now for a while and been having great results. Most algae problems are from excess nutrients . Usally that means you are overfeeding.

Maybe it is time to get one if it is a reef.

Lol I have one. Its running now as is my sump. Cheato is in now as well. I was just wondering about the flow from my power heads.

Not likely to bother the Corals unless its pointed directly at them, and they are all bent over because of it. Something else must be tickin them off.

Yea things are looking better. There not laying down anymore. If i think there going to be to strong ill get out my smaller pumps.
