I have a big conflict on whether or not to rescape my aquascape. Currently I don’t hate my aquascape but I don’t love it. I tried a NSA but worry it is bad for corals and fish hiding. It is also covered in algae and I think a rescape would help give a blank canvas. The tank is over two years old however so I don’t want to take steps backwards. Let me know what you think. That's a lot of gha. I'd pull it out and give all the rock a muriatic acid bath or it's just going to come back.

Rockscape looks really good. But the GHA is terrible and out of control. Remove rock if you can and acid bath it with vinegar or muriatic acid. I would also paint the back of the tank black with some latex paint so you don't see the mess of cords. It will look much cleaner.

I like the idea for the back of the tank! Will the acid bath uncycle the rocks?

So would it be more beneficial to splurge for live rock?
