Sandbeds-

In larger tanks, do you even bother vacuuming or stirring your sand beds?

My tank is only accessible from the top, on back side. Not an easy task, 30" deep. Been running 10 months.

I do regular daily water change using dos, but dont bother with sand bed. Bed looks good, but what do others do.

I have a large variety of cuc, from stars, nassarIs, trocus, hermits, urchins, shrimp etc.

To touch or not to touch?

Unless you're committed to regularly doing whatever it takes to get in there then I see two choices:
1) Focus on running your tank in a way that minimizes/eliminates the need to stir then put it out of mind. I'm sure there's a thread about that somewhere around here.
2) Add creatures that will take care of the job for you.

You'll go nuts fretting about things you can't fix.
(optional) 3) Build an iTankbot to doze your bed once a week.

PS: don't steal my iTankbot brand.
