I WANT YOUR OPINIONS, COMMENTS AND IDEA'S RELATIVE TO IMPROVING MY REEF TANK SYSTEM.

IF NONE IS REALLY NEEDED PLEASE SAY SO? THANKS ALL

1) considering an Apex Controller or Better Protein Skimmer
2) ??????? idea's please

What do you think you need to upgrade and why? Having too many choices can make someone seem like the newest is the better... I'm seeing it with pumps. When I first got into the hobby, DC pumps were all the rage. I can remember people saying, "If I'd start over, it would be with all dc pumps" stuff like that. Nowadays, not so much... One of the, arguably best SPS tanks, has a bunch of eheim 1652s (i think) for pumps to all the reactors and whatnot. I was expecting a dual external pump system or something like that.

My point is, there are many ways to do something similar.

I would worry about what you are trying to keep alive AND thriving. So, do you have any inhabitants, corals, etc? How are they doing?
Are you planning anything that you think you're current equipment cannot handle? That would be another reason.

I guess, I'm just curious on why the questions on your equipment if nothing is going wrong?

If it ain't broke or something dying, kinda hard to recommend anything. If you're happy with the look I wouldn't mess with it too much. To make things easier for you, controllers and ato's would be nice.

Overall my SPS is ok and growing slowly. The truth is I'm looking for a faster growth ,improved color/healther ACRO's. Better filtration, increased lighting Such as adding 2 more Aquabeam 1500 NP's. As I understand PUR is more important than PAR. The Aquaray's fit this bill and don't cost a fortune. Ea. one of my lights coast $269 X2= $538 plus SH/tax .

PS: In general the tank is "just ok " overall. I want to add moreAcro's and increase growth rates. (I don't know really what is normal growth for Acro's)
