So I am going to re-scape my tank while I'm laying fallow, I have gotten some live rock from a friend but it's been sitting in Styrofoam container in sw of course but it's been sitting for a couple weeks! It's it still safe to use without it causing an upset for my corals?!

keep an eye on ammonia as it may spike due to die off on the rock.

Should be fine. But you will have some die off.
