should i use the water clarifying packet that comes with the sand or no i think it looks pretty clear what do you guys think

No, if you rinsed the sand before putting it in than it’s not needed, if you didn’t then a packet of some chemical is not going to rid the tank of sand fines.
ok i couldn’t really rinse it though because it’s carib sea sand and yea i didn’t wanna use it i just wanted to see if anyone had any second thoughts
 
Desiccants bind smaller sand particles together so they are more likely to fall to bottom; your tank already looks pretty clear to me

yea i think it’s because i let the sand be in there for like a few hours without disturbing it i’m still filtering water to add to it
