To wrasse or not to wrasse

I have an 80 deep blue rimless currently with 2 onyx clownfish and a purple tang. I've really taken a liking to the orange back fairy wrasses but I'm worried about it jumping, naturally. If you're in my situation, would you take the risk of putting a wrasse in rimless, topless reef?

Nope, they will jump for sure. A lid wouldn't be too hard to make though.

True, I'd prefer to keep it topless, that's why I bought a rimless tank. Thanks for the input though

definitely no wrasse with no lid and with purple tang. with lid, still 50% it wont make it as i have seen pt harass all new fish after it was established.

I have a mystery wrasse that's in my 100 gallon rimless with no problems

I guess I spoke too soon, I will be getting the purple tang tomorrow from a friend who is tearing down her tank. So no territory has been established yet.

Get the wrasse at the same time. Introduce together you should be just fine.

Keeping a wrasse without a cover is keeping a wrasse on borrowed time.

It's not a matter of IF it will jump, but simply WHEN it will jump.
