Hi.
Obtained toadstool from Lfs 11days ago; I must admit in the store it didn't have polyps exposed but had read can be the norm for them at times. A few dds after obtaining noticed parasites on it ie like tiny grubs which I elected to leave alone as didn't want to stress the coral so soon after introduction.
Tank is 12-15wks old, started with live rock. Parameters tested are stable at SG1.026 kH10 ph8.2 NH4 0, NO3 0-0.2 & NO2 0.
Have been doing 10% water changes weeklyusing Red Sea Coral Pro salt.
Have Red Sea e170, was positioned half way down tank, with what hoped to be just off the angled flow of the pump. Lights were programmed for 3wk induction.
Hadn't touched the toadstool since last night when trying relocation. Found yday morn it still had no polyps, smooth surface and has thin covering green algae. Base is also a little wrinkly.
As can't direct flow all that well have swapped its location with the hammer so is more in direct water flow.
Am not sure what else can do ie should I prepare myself it's not going to pull through.
Btw tank only sparsely stocked with 2clowns that leave it alone and some snails.
Advise much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Sorry broken ph means no pics
