Hey guys I have a few questions for you im new to saltwater but was reading up when I bought my tank I got a toadstool frag with it it has a hole in the side of it it's gone through my tank cycle and such so it looked pretty bad but it's getting better now I read that the whole could be a parasite or snail eating it from the inside out so how do I know?? I'll include pictures
My other question was i recently got a gsp he seems to be doing great today I fed it goniopower and it didn't retrack but the tentacles went flat then after it seemed like it was done they popped right up so im swimming this is how they eat? I also fed the Ricordia this and they produced a slime and kinda shriveled up im assuming this is them eating as well. Like I said new and these are my first corals So any help is much appreciated thanks guys

Well I know Forsure gsp are strictly photosynthetic so don't worry about target feeding him.
I've never heard of goniopower but is it safe to assume that food is more so for goniopora corals
Maybe next time try feeding your shroom some mysis?

It says mainly for goniopora but also for mushrooms and soft corals so the gsp won't actually eat it then or they will just not needed I've tried frozen mysis but the don't seem to bother with it

I never feed anything to toad stool or gsp or shrooms. Sorry I don't know about the hole in your toadstool, maybe a piece was fraged off of it?

It is a drag so im unsure just read something saying certain snails will burrow into them and eat them from the inside out and yes I turn off all my wavemakers the music can sit on the Ricordia they just don't seem interested or the mysis is to big
