Hi guys

On the last 2 weeks I noticed my long polyp toadstool being closed from one side, and having some sort of hole and weird colouration on it.

Is this normal or you guys recommend that I remove and dip?

See photos (during the day - low light period in my tank).

Thanks fish guy, I've removed the coral and dipped on iodine solution for 30 minutes and put it back on the tank.

Will give it some time to see results and hopefully it will heal.

What sort of issues could cause this type of "necrosis" on the softie ?

I've had it for longer than a year and it has grown a lot since then. This was all of a sudden and the tank parameters have been good (5ppm nitrate, 0.12ppm phosphate, salinity 35ppm, alk = 10).

Not sure on cause, keep in moderate flow for now ,hopefully will heal itself,
any decline come back here... :)
may experience molt after dipping ,may not ?
