New to corals. Setup an 25 gallon AIO. I have had a hammer coral mushroom, palys and a toadstool frag for a month. All seem to be doing great all of sudden last night the toadstool turned grayish. Parameters are good all other corals are fine. Any suggestions.

Toadstools will periodically retract like that and then shed their outer layer. If that's what it's doing, it will be bigger and brighter soon.

+1 it's shedding put some good flow on it to help it out. She'll be back bigger in a day or so..
You're lucky mine does this twice a week

+1 on shedding. Mine always looks really waxy on top when he’s about to shed

Just got worried the day before it’s was fully extended. Than today I got home and it was like this. But make sense because my hammer coral is going like crazy

How close if you hammer? It’s not in the picture so I didn’t think it could be stinging.

Normal for toadstool especially if shedding. Can also be attributed to lack of water flow especially if you see a shiny film on its' surface, then for sure increase water flow
