toadstool coral

this is my toadstool coral, it always looks like this but never has extended its tenticles, has been in the tank for about 4 months now.

my water parims are ph 8.1

ammonia 0
nitrite 0 nitrate 0
calcium 440
alk 10
phoshate is 0.50 im already working on getting this down

my open brain coral and flower pot coral seem to be doing great

there's no other corals next to it

I would check the stalk/base for a nudi or snail eating it. Look for damaged flesh and then the nudi/snail will keep burrowing into the leather, eventually eating it from the inside out.
 
Leather corals will sometimes stay closed for several days or shed a waxy film layer as part of their growing process. A little extra flow may help stimulate the leather to open up again. However since it has not opened in 4 months there is probably another issue with it so checking for a nudibranch is a good idea.
