It looks pretty bad. You have it way too close to that other leather coral. Try moving it away from the other coral and see if it bounces back at all. If it detaches more or starts losing flesh in chunks, remove it.

I always get scared when someone says paramaters are all good. Could you post up your last test results?
Tank looks fairly new based on the rock work and sand bed cleanliness.
What are you using to test salinity and when was the last time you calibrated it?

The leathers look a little sad but as long as they are not melting they should be hanging in there.

Yesterdays tests:

Salinity: 1024 (Hana checker calibrated 2/3 weeks ago)
Test kits of Salifert
NH3/NH4: 0.15
NO2: 0.1
NO3: 0.25
PO4: 0.10
KH: 11.75 (going down by 1.00 per day, trying to get it to 8-9)
Mg: 1350

tank is a month old approxapart from the toadstool and Kenya tree behind it, I have a number of mushrooms (open good), zoas (not all are opening), pulsing xenia (opens but not as large as it used to) and Duncan (opens pretty good)

and until 2 days ago the toadstool was completely fine as you can see in the photos below.

tank is clean as I just had made a water change and cleaned it

Your tank doesn’t seem cycled yet so it’s going to be too new for most livestock. Ammonia and nitrite need to be at 0.00
They were 0 but since I have a few snails and added some corals they went up a bit and are gradually coming down

Leathers go through a shedding cycle. I would try to keep my parameters as stable as possible and see how it does. Unless it starts decaying, just leave it alone to do its thing.
I removed it as I fell completely down, the colour completely faded away and it looked like slime was coming out so I didn't take any chances to spike the parameters and kill something else and removed it.

I hope now that the Kenya tree will be ok as although it is opening up a bit, the branch is bent

I’m only repeating this as its spot on..
Added: your feelings might change when it starts shooting clones everywhere

Were you doing any ghost feeding or ammonia dosing during the cycle? A couple snails really shouldn’t bump your ammonia up if your rocks are fully cycled.

I have a toadstool that did the same thing a few weeks ago, thought it was dying but instead was just shedding it’s out layer and ended up growing more instead

Your tank is very new and not completely cycled. The ammonia won’t bother the corals so much, but because you don’t have an established biofilter, if that toadstool does start rotting, you run a very high risk of killing all your fish. Be careful and keep an eye on things. My toadstools are sensitive to Alk swings and tend not to like very high Alk, so that could be a contributing factor to its current appearance. I still think it has a good shot of recovery. That bubble tip anemone I see is going to be hard to keep alive in your new tank. Keep an eye on that also and get it out ASAP if it dies. Anemones need stable established tanks. Typically I wouldn’t recommend one until the tank is at least a year old. But the deed is already done…

Ummm saw something that worries me about your cleaner wrasse.

that cleaner wrasse will not be happy in there without any large fish especially, and will constantly nag and hassle the clowns to clean them. It could lead your clowns to either kill it, or them geting stick and dying.

Is the cleaner eatting anything else?

Clearners are not recommended for beginners, and small tanks.
Also 90% gaurentee your lid is not adaquite.
That cleaner will do a Houdini and you will find it on the floor one day.

Wrasses are like mice they fit though holes smaller then you think they could fit.

noted, but it doesn't bother them that much, and yes it eats food pallets the same that I give to the clowns
