Please help. I need a diagnosis here

Tank history and params would help a lot. They are pretty hardy, but if something is very wrong it can cause a problem.
Could just be due to a shed though (part of it never finished).

Had it up for 3 years.

Ph: 8.0-8.1
Alk: 9.8
Nitrate: <5
Phosphate: .5 (Ik it’s a bit high, but never really been a problem)
Calcium: 420
Mag: 1410
Nitrite and Ammonia: 0

My weeping willow did the same and looked like this for 3 months. Was going to toss it but a mate said as long as it's not disintegrating it will probably come right again. Apparently can sulk sometimes for no reason.

This is it now. I wouldn't worry

Thank you for the reassurance:)

There is some brown jelly like substance on it. Should I remove it with a turkey baster or let it be?

How long have you had it? Can you take it out of the tank and do a dip if needed? I'm not really sure if softies can get brown jelly disease, I think that's an LPS thing. Hopefully someone that knows a bit more about that can chime in.
