They close up, get a shiny appearance, then it will shed its skin and the polyps will come out again. Mine recently closed up for 3 or 4 months straight.

Sadly and not smart of me but I bought him and am in the diatom stage... could the diatom algae kill it?

Click to expand... A month and a half Water parameters are checked weekly at my LFS and they all are good!
