The past 6 days my toadstool has been shriveled up and looks like crap. Never had this issue before. No changes to the tank latley. All other coral and fish seem fine. Parameters are all normal and stable.

I've had it about a year. This is the first time doing it.

Agree. Mine shrink up from time to time. If it develops a shiny film it's shedding. Will be bigger than before. Very nice looking leather

I've had one shed before and it took forever to look better. Someone on R2R suggested taking a soft toothbrush and rubbing it to help it. They had said if it is in a low flow area it could have a hard time shedding. I did that and the next morning it was back to being beautiful again.

My toadstool is going thru the same thing. Very normal. Will emerge bigger! Pic angle isn’t great, but you get the point.

It's been almost 3 weeks and it still looks the same. Starting to worry now.

I've had leathers do this for years. No exaggeration. Years. If it's not crumbling, it's not turning black, it's not dying. If you feel like you need to do something give it an iodine dip or increase the flow in its direction to blow off any shedding skin.
