Originally when I added it didn't open fully extending its polyps now I have redirected some flow directly at it and the foot has bent and is now appears as if being pushed by the flow. Should I change the angle that the powerhead hits the toadstool, leave it be? Would love to see this continue to grow!
Thanks!

In my experience leather can be pretty flexible. Direct flow may be a little excessive, it's hard to say without knowing how strong it is. I have noticed that when first subjected to changes in water flow the corals react dramatically. It may take a day or 5 for it to adjust.
Have you considered the polyps might not be extending because the light is too intense? I see you have some SPS up there with it. Try moving the leather down to the bottom, you might be surprised!
