Toadstool Leather Help!

I had my toadstool leather coral for over 2 years now. Recently the rock stubble it came with on its footing detached from the base and it hasn’t been looking good. Is there a way to attach the base to something again? But when I looked at the bottom of the coral it didn’t look good. Any advice or help please.

Personally, I would slice off that end part, and then lightly tie the coral down to a rock. It will attach again after a couple of weeks, it looks very healthy.

Same. I cut deteriorating tissue off one of mine and the rest made a full recovery.

The best I can do. I cut off the decaying part and used a rubber band.
