Toadstool Leather Spots-disease or normal?

noticed these whitish spots on my toadstool leather today. Any idea? For perspective the head is about 8” overall diameter and it was just opening up when I noticed.

Here is mine a couple of months ago. It had a couple of white spots and holes. If this is the same as yours. I was told it is totally normal. It’s a way they self propagate.

Thanks Steve Looks very similar. That’s good to know as this one is one of my favorites.
I have a pink one that grew up the rocks from the frag plug and there is a “baby” coming up from the frag plug now.
