* Toadstool Leather Time *

Hey all,
I recently added a toadstool leather to my tank as one of my side/center pieces that I hope will grow into a giganticus one day ;Joyful. I also got a little baby too just for ***** and giggles . It took about a week for it to fully open and it's still got a little little more to go. But the problem is every single time it's rockin and rollin a frickin crab crawls on top or on the side and he immediately closes and puts up a "closed for business" sign and that's that for the day lol. It takes hours for him to open again

. Do you guys have the same issues and what do you do?? I already kind of put it up on a small rock to elevate it a little from the sand bed but that didn't do much. Do I need to call Trump and have him build a wall around this thing or what lol Any suggestions??

Toadstools are basically unkillable but very easy to tick off. If the glass cleaner goes by him just a little too fast, my boy is down and out for the whole rest of the day. Doesn’t even have to touch him for him to give up on extending. My friend has a huge toadstool that retracts for a week if he bumps it on accident. Weird corals but I love em, I’m looking for a little pink one so my green one can have a friend

My tank is full of toadstools from 6 inches across to tiny breadcrumbs lol..honestly mine are open all the time unless a rogue crab perches on them. Normal for them to close I find that the bigger they are the more tolerant they are about being touched by you or the crab.
Then again toadstools are moody soooo hehe they are my favorite corals I can’t seem to stop buying them.

Pop it on a rack so the hermits can't get near it.
You think you have problems, my 4 inch fox face uses mine as a bouncy castle lol, it doesn't even fully retract any more.
