Anyone know if I need to refrag this so it doesn’t die ? It’s growing into my sand bed very weirdly and I am doing a tank clean today to get all that red stuff out I think it’s bacteria anyone has any ideas lmk thank you

1. It’s a toadstool leather
2. The red stuff is cyanobacteria and you can’t just clean it. It’s due to poor flow and water quality.
3. What are your nutrient parameters?
4. Yes the cyano can irritate the leather by covering it, suggest maybe a turkey baster to keep the cyano blown off it till you get the tank cleared up of it.
5. Do a healthy water change and add chemiclean per the instructions on the box.

Looks fine to me but would likely enjoy more flow.
