I've had this for about 8 months or so, it's about 4" across. It was a bit larger than a quarter when I got it and I have fragged it once. The frags are growing stalks and have doubled in size. This however is growing great, but the stalk has not grown at all. The base has grown wider and now covers most of the rubble rock that I attached it to. Has anyone experienced this and will it grow a stalk?
Thanks

Location not helping
They need medium light and water flow
Light offers its zooxanthellae the ability for color and growth

I have a similar one. I think it looks fine. Mine that looks just like yours has a munch shorter stalk then the green one right next to it. I don't overthink it.

It's on the sand bed near a corner and has good light and flow enough where the polyps sway back and forth. As mentioned it's growing in diameter and thickness, only the stalk is not growing up.

Thanks - I actually like it how it is. Was only curious if this is normal as most pictures they tend to have long stalks or are long folded.

You may be confusing this with umbrella toadstool with has a longer stalk
